Definizione di Integrale:
L'integrale di una funzione f(x)f(x) su un intervallo [a, b][a,b] rappresenta l'area sotto la curva di f(x)f(x) tra aa e bb. Si denota come:
\int_a^b f(x) \, dx
∫abf(x)dx
-
Integrale Indefinito:
L'integrale indefinito di una funzione è una famiglia di funzioni la cui derivata è la funzione originale. Si scrive come:
\int f(x) \, dx = F(x) + C
∫f(x)dx=F(x)+C
dove F(x)F(x) è una primitiva di f(x)f(x) e CC è una costante di integrazione.
-
Regole di Integrazione:
- Regola della somma:
\int (f(x) + g(x)) \, dx = \int f(x) \, dx + \int g(x) \, dx
∫(f(x)+g(x))dx=∫f(x)dx+∫g(x)dx
- Regola del prodotto per una costante:
\int k \cdot f(x) \, dx = k \cdot \int f(x) \, dx
∫k⋅f(x)dx=k⋅∫f(x)dx
- Integrazione per parti:
\int u \, dv = uv - \int v \, du
∫udv=uv−∫vdu
-
Teorema Fondamentale del Calcolo:
Se FF è una primitiva di ff su [a, b][a,b], allora:
\int_a^b f(x) \, dx = F(b) - F(a)
∫abf(x)dx=F(b)−F(a)

Esercizio 1: Calcolare un Integrale Indefinito
Problema: Calcola l'integrale indefinito di f(x) = 3x^2 + 2x - 1f(x)=3x2+2x−1.
Soluzione:
\int (3x^2 + 2x - 1) \, dx = \int 3x^2 \, dx + \int 2x \, dx - \int 1 \, dx
∫(3x2+2x−1)dx=∫3x2dx+∫2xdx−∫1dx
Utilizzando le regole di integrazione:
= 3 \cdot \frac{x^3}{3} + 2 \cdot \frac{x^2}{2} - x + C = x^3 + x^2 - x + C
=3⋅3x3+2⋅2x2−x+C=x3+x2−x+C

Exercises on Integrals
Key Concepts
- Definition of Integral:
The integral of a function f(x)f(x) over an interval [a, b][a,b] represents the area under the curve of f(x)f(x) between aa and bb. It is denoted as:
\int_a^b f(x) \, dx
∫abf(x)dx
- Indefinite Integral:
The indefinite integral of a function is a family of functions whose derivative is the original function. It is written as:
\int f(x) \, dx = F(x) + C
∫f(x)dx=F(x)+C
where F(x)F(x) is a primitive of f(x)f(x) and CC is a constant of integration.
- Rules of Integration:
\int (f(x) + g(x)) \, dx = \int f(x) \, dx + \int g(x) \, dx
∫(f(x)+g(x))dx=∫f(x)dx+∫g(x)dx
\int k \cdot f(x) \, dx = k \cdot \int f(x) \, dx
∫k⋅f(x)dx=k⋅∫f(x)dx
\int u \, dv = uv - \int v \, du
∫udv=uv−∫vdu
- Fundamental Theorem of Calculus:
If FF is a primitive of ff on [a, b][a,b], then:
\int_a^b f(x) \, dx = F(b) - F(a)
∫abf(x)dx=F(b)−F(a)

∫(3x2+2x−1)dx=∫3x2dx+∫2xdx−∫1dx
Using the rules of integration:

Solution:
- Find a primitive of f(x)f(x):
F(x) = \frac{x^3}{3}
F(x)=3x3
- Apply the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus:
\int_1^3 x^2 \, dx = F(3) - F(1) = \left(\frac{3^3}{3}\right) - \left(\frac{1^3}{3}\right) = \left(9\right) - \left(\frac{1}{3}\right) = 9 - \frac{1}{3} = \frac{27}{3} - \frac{1}{3} = \frac{26}{3}
∫13x2dx=F(3)−F(1)=(333)−(313)=(9)−(31)=9−31=327−31=326

du = dx, \quad v = e^x
du=dx,v=ex
- Apply the integration by parts formula:
\int x e^x \, dx = x e^x - \int e^x \, dx = x e^x - e^x + C = e^x (x - 1) + C
∫xexdx=xex−∫exdx=xex−ex+C=ex(x−1)+C
